💪 Virtual Reality: A New Dimension in Surgery 🚀🔬 Once again, technology made the medical horizons wider: this time in the surgery sector. Now doctors can use VR (Virtual Reality) to improve their operations and lower the risks. It shows that this technology is not just good for entertainment and video games but is applicable in other fields.🤩 VR represents two main advantages: the possibility of creating a highly realistic human body simulation and providing real-time information for the surgeon.👩⚕️👨⚕️ Surgery staff can more easily train thanks to the immersion provided by this tool. They can practice complex procedures and refine their techniques without all the difficulties and risks of real surgery training. This way, the creation of a three-dimensional environment represents a valuable assistance in this sector.🧪 The second benefit of this innovation consists of the superposition of digital information into the surgeon’s view. Concretely, it is possible to receive digital data and help with the patient's anatomy or vital signs during the operation, improving its efficiency and accuracy. For instance, the surgeon can directly have a 3D model of the targeted organ.🏥 While the potential of VR in medicine is immense, some disadvantages remain. The first is the cost of this technology which makes it unavailable for many hospitals. Surgeons also need to be used to this innovation which could take time. Furthermore, this tool still needs some improvements to reach its full potential. More time is needed to democratize this innovation. 🇪🇺 Despite these limitations, VR is still a promising tool that can help surgeons and patients which will strengthen European healthcare services.🚀 For more information, join SociALL in Shaping the Future of Healthcare! 🚀#sociall #ErasmusPlus #DigitalProficiency #HealthcareInnovation #HealthTechRevolution #FutureOfHealthcare #surgery #surgeon #VR #virtualrealityexperience
🚀 Pioneering Progress in Cancer Surgery: Karolinska Hospital Enters in the European History! 🚀🤩 Exciting news for the fight against cancer in Europe! Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden is the very first organization in Europe to perform surgery using a single-port surgical robot. This innovative technology marks a significant step forward in health innovation.💡 Recently approved for the European market, this innovative robot represents a valuable tool for healthcare services. Imagine a surgery conducted through just one incision! This means less pain, smaller scars, and potentially shorter hospital stays. It even increases the chance of success. 🏥 Olof Akre, Professor of Oncological Surgery and Head of the Department of Clinical Cancer Studies at Karolinska expressed his satisfaction with this progress. The hospital aims to use this innovation and clearly define its strengths and weaknesses to optimize its utilization. 👩🔬👨🔬 Karolinska's success with this pioneering surgery has become possible thanks to an exceptional team effort. Professor Akre highlights the collaborative work across various hospital departments, including perioperative and intensive care, sterile processing, and hospital management. 💶 This tool represents an important investment: it costs 20 million Swedish kronor, approximately €1 741 150. Furthermore, many hours of intensive training are needed to master this technology. 🇪🇺 However, despite this cost in money and time, the single-port surgical robot is still a wonderful progress for European medicine.🚀 Join SociALL in Shaping the Future of Healthcare#sociallc#ErasmusPluss#DigitalProficiencyi#HealthcareInnovationa#HealthTechRevolutionu#FutureOfHealthcareh#surgeryr#surgeonr#robotr#roboticsurgeryrgery

🚶♀️Increasing your motivation to walk 🚶Walking is a simple yet powerful exercise. It requires minimal equipment, is accessible to almost everyone, and offers health benefits. Regular walks can improve heart health, boost mood, and even aid in weight management. However, it could be difficult to stay motivated. That is where step trackers come in. 👣This technology, often in the form of smartphone apps, uses built-in motion sensors to monitor your daily steps. These apps go beyond just counting steps, though. Many offer functionalities to inform you about the distance covered or the calorie burn estimation. It is also possible to settle personalized goals, review past data, and share the progress with friends. ⚙️Step trackers gamify exercise and provide real-time feedback which can significantly increase the motivation to walk more. 💡However, be careful: walking is helpful but not sufficient to be in good health. You may need more physical activities or an appropriate diet. Furthermore, check if the step tracker app you want to download respects your privacy and your personal data. ⚠️So lace up your shoes, download a step tracker app, and set your goals! Use this technology judiciously. Remember, even small increases in daily steps can lead to significant health improvements. 🤩 🚀 Join SociALL in Shaping the Future of Healthcare! 🚀#sociall #ErasmusPlus #DigitalProficiency #HealthcareInnovation #HealthTechRevolution #FutureOfHealthcare #walking #stepbystep #StepTracker #stayhealthy
