SociALL Project

2nd Project partners meeting

Oslo, Norway 23-24 August 2023

The picturesque city of Oslo, Norway, hosted the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2) of the SociALL project, which gathered representatives from all partner organizations: Jihoměstská sociální a.s., Czech Republic, Medicalscan Slovakia sro, Slovakia, Åpenhet, Norway, Nowa, Austria. Join us for an overview of this significant event.

The opening day commenced with a warm welcome from Åpenhet, setting the stage for enlightening discussions. JMSOC took the helm as the meeting coordinator, ensuring a smooth flow. Among the things that have been presented and discussed by the partners were a comprehensive project overview, including its timeline, budget, and key documents.
Throughout the meeting, there was a keen focus on Dissemination I’s actions and results. Partners actively sought ways to amplify their online presence, particularly on their website and social media channels.

Partners also engaged in a dialogue with four welfare technology experts from Oslo Municipality. This hour-long discussion delved into critical aspects such as change management in organizations, addressing resistance to change, and the intricate dynamics between authorities, social services, and clients.

Crucially, partners collectively committed to developing training materials aimed at bridging the digital divide in social care. The training package would cover a range of topics, including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Software, Patient Care Reporting Software, and more. A brainstorming session ignited creative discussions, and partners scheduled an online meeting to dive deeper into this essential endeavor.

The second day saw a field study visit to Almas Hus, a demonstration center for welfare technology in Oslo. For about an hour, they learned about the center’s work, how it gets funding, and how it works with clients, families, and authorities. Participants got hands-on experience with various devices and accessories, witnessing how these technologies enhance the lives of individuals in need of care. The visit was informative and interactive, concluding with a group photo and lunch at Oslo City Hall.

The TPM2 meeting in Oslo marks a significant step forward in the SociALL project’s journey. Partners are collectively dedicated to the overarching goal of making social care technologies accessible to all, with the ultimate aim of enhancing social care services throughout Europe. As this inspiring journey continues, stay tuned for more updates and progress.
